I had to stop myself or this would've been a very, very long blog post!
Since Melissa and Paul's amazing Swartland engagement shoot I have been beside myself with excitement for their wedding and on a sweltering day (in April!) my little brother and I headed through to Moorreesburg. These two really are the coolest couple ever and we were as much part of the proceedings as we were documenting it - seriously, despite the heat, their photographs just came out absolutely incredible and I very, very nearly posted three hundred of them here!
Their wedding was as much a celebration of their love as it was a celebration of the Swartland community with their couple shots done on rolling wheat fields and their reception held in a barn filled with their families and friends from various different corners of the country. More than once I felt a lump in my throat as I saw everyone come together to celebrate these wonderful two people's love for each other, as well as the love for family, togetherness and well... a good barn party!
